HAITI: La Kay c'est la kay!

FINALLY FOUND THE HAITI PICTURES! Actually, they were lost for months; had no idea where they were and found them only 2 days before xmas.

I traveled with my aunts and cousin from Montreal to Haiti. Didn't take alot of pictures as our focus was not on vacation but checking in on our elders and working on their house so lots of painting, spackling and sizing up future renovations. Next trip, Life willing, we're planting a garden for my grandmother.

As for Haiti, I found her green and vibrant, wild with activity, serene and crazy, beautiful and heartbreaking and alot more than i can possibly express here. Still taking it all in after returning to the States. Altogether, it was inspiring and I'm definitely making plans to return each year, especially to the lovely, creative community of Jacmel, where my father was born, to connect with fellow artists.

Can't wait for the next trip and this time I'll come back with a truck load and photos, videos and, hopefully, paintings.
