This gathering gives us an opportunity to listen to the folk artists in our communities, keepers of traditions passed down through generations that hold our stories and ways of being / living / facing challenges that helped our ancestors prevail.

KONBIT: Collective Creative Resistance is part of #FallOfFreedom, a nationwide movement of artists, writers, musicians, and creators standing together for expression without limits. Artists throughout the NY/NJ/PA tri-state area (and beyond) are welcomed to join us at our virtual / live-stream event for bold expression and solidarity.
Konbit is a traditional Haitian agricultural practice that embodies the spirit of cooperation and mutual aid, in which community members join together to work on one another’s farms during both planting and harvest seasons.
The planting is our collective presence and sharing. The harvest is the network of support and resources we cultivate together.
KONBIT: Collective Creative Resistance is conceived by musician / mixed media artist Nadïne LaFond as an offering for community collaboration.
