SEEN is a custom arts education series designed to support young artists in exploring self-expression, creative identity, and personal voice through the arts. Rooted in the belief that each individual has a unique way of seeing and shaping the world, this offering encourages self-discovery through hands-on exploration of various art forms. This series integrates visual arts, creative writing, and interdisciplinary practices to explore themes of identity, encourages imagination and nurtures authentic expression.

Each session provides a supportive space for young artists to express, reflect, and share, honoring their journey as emerging creatives with meaningful stories to tell. Sessions can be tailored in collaboration with the teaching artist to ensure a personalized and impactful experience for each group.

Here are the basics of the SEEN Series
A 1-3 month series designed for group delivery in schools, community centers and museums.
Each session runs 60 – 120 minutes and includes hands-on art-making, guided discussion, and interdisciplinary exploration.
Duration: 4 weeks minimum for full series
Audience: Young artists K-12.
Location: Venue meeting room or virtual conferencing
Each series can be tailored in partnership with a teaching artist, ensuring a personalized and impactful experience for every group.

The venues where the program is delivered are the following
Workshop sessions are conducted at schools, community centers and museums.
Note: Activity coordinators, wellness directors, or care professionals are welcomed to reach out and bring this enriching program to your community.
Minimal setup needed
For In-Person Sessions:
Furniture & Layout
Tables: Sufficient, sturdy, and clean work tables for participants to comfortably create.
Chairs: Comfortable and appropriately sized seating for all participants (plus a few extras).
Accessible Setup: Tables and seating arranged to accommodate mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs).
Technology
Smart Screen or Projector: For sharing visuals, slideshows, videos, or digital demos.
HDMI or USB Access: To connect a laptop to the screen/projector.
Speakers (if needed): For audio playback in videos or presentations.
Power Outlets: Near the setup for charging a laptop or powering additional equipment.
Facilities
Access to a sink with running water: For washing brushes, hands, or light cleanup.
Trash & Recycling Bins: Easily accessible for disposing of used materials and packaging.
For Virtual Sessions:
Room Setup & Technology, Smart Screen or Large, Monitor, Speakers or Audio System, Computer or Laptop with Zoom Installed, Reliable Wi-Fi or wired access to internet

Youth Arts Series
This series for young artists focuses on self expression and discovery. The purpose is to find what kind of art-making is most aligned with their authentic selves and how to share their unique voice.
