Thanks so much for your interest in supporting the Soul Kindred Stories Portraits Collection.

The Pilot Series represents the kick off collection of custom, highly symbolic portraits focused on storytelling; combining literary elements, abstract motifs and figurative components with cultural / historical research and personal artifacts to create quite unique and powerful heirlooms:

I’m using the creative process of art making as an opportunity to participate in collective storytelling as a way of reclaiming our narratives, especially for BIPOC communities. It is my hope to inspire collectors and, through their support of this collection, create opportunities to share the positive impact.

For this to come to fruition, I can’t do it alone and need the support of many hands. Therefore, I’ve created the Affiliate Referral Program through which I invite fans of my artwork to refer the portraits to new collectors.

These handmade mixed media or assemblage portraits allow both the artist and sitter to use unconventional materials and methods to create a unique portraits.

As an independent artist, I wear every hat in my studio practice, including getting art in the hands of collectors who will truly appreciate the intent of these works.

Through the Affiliate Referral Program, I am offering 20% of referred sales, minus taxes and shipping costs, to those who join as program referral members.

Note: Given the pilot series is limited to twenty portraits (12 mixed media pieces and 8 bottle art works), the Affiliates Crew will be a small group as well.
After we’ve reached our maximum, this application will be closed and no further members will be accepted.

The Joy of Collecting

The Collector is the keeper of history and a participant of vital cultural discourse through the medium of visual art. I know personally, as both an artist and collector, the thrill of acquiring new works. There’s nothing quite like getting that new piece and introducing it to the others in the world we create with art. My hope is that my journey and the art it creates bring inspiration to those who collect them.

As an Affiliate, you are helping to choose the perfect collector for the work of art presented from my studio.

I have been lucky over the years to attract wonderful collectors who have deeply appreciated and displayed my art in their homes and publicly for which I’m so grateful. For them, it’s not merely a financial asset but a symbol of their values and principles. This is the collector I’m looking for; folks who truly connect with the message that the Portraits Collection shares, welcome the dialogue and want its inspiration in their lives.

As an independent artist, I wear all the hats to run my studio including reaching out to art collectors once the work is completed.
In addition to this and my work as a Teaching Artist, it’s alot.
With your support, we can make the match that brings the right collector and artwork together.

I will suggest a modest goal each month for portrait projects but there is no quota for payment eligibility.

However many portraits sell based on your referral will be paid 20% of that sale, minus taxes and shipping costs.

Payments are made two weeks after the release dates.

Otherwise, commissions may be used toward original art, custom art, limited editions or arts education.
